$16,000.00
Description
This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible was reportedly first delivered to Clark US Air Force base in the Philippines where it was acquired by the seller’s father while he was an equipment mechanic. It remained registered within the family through the seller’s 2018 acquisition, and the exterior was refinished in black with a white convertible top in 2024. Power is provided by a 230ci inline-six mated to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, and the cabin features bench seats trimmed in diamond-pattern red vinyl. Additional equipment includes a two-barrel carburetor, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, 14″ painted steel wheels, a push-button AM radio, and a heater.
The car left the factory finished in Bahama Green (908)Â and was stripped and repainted in black in 2024. Equipment includes a white convertible top, quad headlights, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, electric windshield wipers, quarter vent windows, and bright trim. Photos of the soft top in the raised position can be seen in the gallery.
The 14″ painted steel wheels wear hubcaps and are mounted with Traveller Bias Ply white-stripe tires that have cracks in the sidewalls. The car is equipped with a front and rear coil-spring suspension. Stopping power is provided by front and rear drums, and the braking system was overhauled in 2022, according to the seller.
