429-Powered 1976 Ford Gran Torino from Starsky & Hutch

Description
This 1976 Ford Gran Torino was used as a static picture car in the 1978 and 1979 seasons of the television show Starsky & Hutch. Power is provided by a 429ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and the car is finished in red with white graphics over black vinyl upholstery. A Galls StreetThunder siren, a bubble light, and wig wag headlights have been installed and additional equipment includes power steering, power front disc brakes, Weld Racing wheels, an Edelbrock intake manifold, MSD ignition components, aluminum cylinder heads, and mid-length exhaust headers. The cabin is outfitted with air conditioning, a Motorola CB radio, a tilting steering column, cruise control, a CD changer, and a Sony subwoofer.
The car was repainted in red with a white side stripe that extends up to the roof. Details include a Galls StreetThunder siren, a bubble light, wig wag headlights, polished wheel-arch trim and rocker moldings, dual exhaust outlets, body-color sport mirrors, and chrome-finished bumpers. Polished 15″ Weld Racing wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, front and rear sway bars, and rear air shocks. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
