Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was refurbished before the seller’s 2017 acquisition, which included refinishing the car in red with a black vinyl roof cover and DX1-style stripes. It is powered by a 427ci V8 that was initially sold as an “over-the-counter” crate engine in 1969, and it is linked with a Keisler five-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with a PosiTraction differential and 4.10:1 gears. The car rides on 15″ five-spoke wheels mounted over Wilwood disc brakes, and additional equipment includes a Holley carburetor, a cowl induction hood, power steering, traction bars, subframe connectors, front and rear spoilers, and Hedman headers. The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl and features a Hurst shifter and a Kenwood head unit.
The body was delivered from the factory in Fathom Green and has been refinished in red with a black vinyl roof cover and DX1-style stripes. Further details include a raised cowl-induction hood, front and rear spoilers, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers. Imperfections are noted on the nose, rear spoiler, trunk, and right-rear quarter panel, though the seller states they are difficult to capture in a photo.
Black-finished five-spoke 15″ wheels are mounted with staggered-width BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, traction bars, and subframe connectors. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with Wilwood calipers.
