Description
This 1962 Mercedes-Benz 220SEb cabriolet is one of approximately 2,730 examples produced between 1961 and 1965, and it is powered by a replacement fuel-injected 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in blue over tan leather upholstery and is equipped with a blue convertible top, 14″ steel wheels with covers, front disc brakes, lap belts, a Becker AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a heater. Recent service has included replacing the rear differential mount, fuel injectors, spark plugs, and ignition points.
The car is finished in blue and features a blue soft top, a tan top boot, US-specification headlights, front vent windows, twin exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers. The chrome plating has peeled on the upper rear bumper.
The 14″ steel wheels feature bright-finished covers with color-matched centers and are mounted with Michelin HydroEdge tires. The suspension includes an independent double-wishbone front setup with coil springs along with a rear single-joint swing axle. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
