This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is finished in blue over blue cloth and is powered by a 403ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. Equipment includes long-tube headers, power-assisted steering, power front disc brakes, 15″ Rally II-style wheels, removable T-top roof panels, and a shaker hood in addition to a heater and a Delco AM/FM radio. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2016 and now shows 71k miles.
Finished from the factory in Nocturne Blue (29), the car was reportedly repainted in the late 1980s. Details include removable glass roof panels, a Trans Am hood decal, a shaker hood, front-fender air vents, concealed windshield wipers, a front lip spoiler, a three-piece rear spoiler, and side splitter exhaust outlets.
The 15″ Rally II-style wheels are mounted with 225/70 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
