Description
This 1969 Ford Cobra SportsRoof is powered by a 428ci Cobra Jet V8 paired with a four-speed Toploader manual transmission and is finished in white over blue and gray vinyl upholstery. The car was delivered new to R.E. Moorhead Son Inc., of Mansfield, Ohio, and the current owner acquired the vehicle out of Missouri in 2011 and subsequently stored the car until until 2023, when the brake master cylinder was replaced. Equipment includes styled steel wheels, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums, a hood scoop, a dual exhaust system, a Hurst shifter, a center console, and a push-button AM/FM radio.
The car was finished from the factory in Wimbledon White (M) and features chrome-finished bumpers, hood pins, bright trim, a remote-adjustable driver-side mirror, Cobra and Cobra Jet badging, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. The seller notes that the door-handle button to open the driver-side door is difficult to press, and there is a dent in the trunk lid and a ding in the rear valance. Chrome-finished styled steel 14″ wheels wear polished trim rings and hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. A spare with an older Goodyear tire is stowed in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs up front and drums at the rear. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2023.
